Swinburne and Jackson Enters Administration – UK

Administrators were appointed to Swinburne & Jackson LLP with 40 to 50 employees likely to be made redundant. Tait Walker’s Matthew Higgins  and Gordon Goldie  were appointed as joint administrators on February 3, 2014. The accounts of the firm depicted debts of more than £800,000.

Accounts of the firm filed with Companies House demonstrated that creditors were owed £674,866 by Swinburne & Jackson within a year and  £125,365 in member debts as well as loans.

The firm of solicitors is headquartered in Gateshead but had offices in Washington, Chester-le-Street, Hexham and Ryton.
