Fine dining restaurants Edmunds and Cielo in Birmingham have entered liquidation. KJ Watkin of Walsall was appointed as liquidator. One of the owners confirmed that the two restaurants will reportedly continue to operate under a new company.
Media reports said that information on the new company structure has not been disclosed. Chris and Cos Papachristoforou have been reportedly engaged in past controversies. Last year, Andy Waters, a top city chef, stopped working at Edmunds noting his disappointment as the restaurant has become unsustainable. Also in July last year, the two brothers’ Nuvo bar in Brindleyplace was put in liquidation after three years of operations; however, it continued to trade.
